I’ve been doing website design for over 15 years, off and on. In fact, I started using WordPress to create websites way back in the early days of WordPress when it was just a blogging platform. I found that WordPress made it easy for my clients to have a way to update their website themselves.
These days, I prefer not to create websites professionally anymore. It was too much trouble and I didn’t really charge enough for my time. Plus, I got tired of fighting the hackers. But I’ve been creating some personal websites, such as this blog. And blogs of recent travels and so forth.
My GOTO WordPress theme is Divi from Elegant Themes. This, in my opinion, is the best WordPress theme on the market, hands down. It’s so flexible – you can easily create a professional website in minutes, using their layout packs. The theme includes WYSIWYG editing, but I still prefer the back-end editing. You really can’t go wrong, whether you’re a beginner or experienced web designer, with the Divi theme.

When I get time, I want to create some how-to videos or maybe an e-book on my tips and tricks for building blogs and websites with WordPress and the Divi theme. In the meantime, I want to link you to my hosting company – which I highly recommend, and to the Elegant Themes page so you can purchase your own Divi theme. These are affiliate links, but I’ve been using both products over 10 years and highly recommend them.
